1. Remove connections and revoke platform access
To stop a connection, sign in to the Multistream dashboard and remove YouTube/Twitch connections or destination configuration you no longer need. Removing a local connection deletes the token and configuration we store, but does not automatically revoke permission on a third-party platform. Revoke access separately:
- Google/YouTube: open app permissions in your Google Account and remove Multistream access.
- Twitch: open Twitch Connections settings and revoke Multistream access.
To disconnect the OBS dock, revoke or reset its session from the dashboard if that option is available, or ask us to revoke the session associated with your account. Revoking the dock session does not delete your platform account.
2. Submit a deletion request
Email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request." Include the email address for your Multistream account and enough information to identify the account or connection involved. Do not include passwords, stream keys, pairing codes, or OAuth tokens.
We may request additional information to verify that you own the account or are authorized to submit the request. Provide only the minimum information needed. We will not ask for your password or secret tokens. If you are requesting deletion on someone else's behalf, provide relevant proof of authority.
3. Data covered by the request
After verifying and processing the request, we will delete or disable deletable Multistream account data, including account profile and authentication, platform connections and their local tokens, destination stream key configuration, OBS pairing and dock sessions, and support information that is no longer needed. Chat messages processed for the dock are not stored as a permanent account history. The in-memory replay queue holds up to 5,000 events until displaced or process shutdown; with Redis, replay excludes events older than one hour and the stored list expires one hour after the latest event. Pairing codes expire after 10 minutes and OBS sessions last up to 30 days unless revoked earlier.
4. Information that may be retained
We may retain certain information as needed to comply with law, prevent fraud or abuse, protect security, resolve disputes, or record important transactions and actions. Data may remain in technical logs or provider backups until their retention cycle expires. This request covers copies we control; we cannot delete information held directly by Google, YouTube, Twitch, destination platforms, or infrastructure providers. Use the relevant provider's privacy tools to submit a request to them.
5. Verification and processing time
We will review your request after receiving enough information to verify you. Processing time may vary based on the data type, verification needs, legal obligations, and dependencies on backups or providers. We have not set a fixed deletion deadline that applies to every case. If some data cannot be deleted, we will explain its category and retention reason to the extent allowed by law.
