1. Agreement and operator
These terms are an agreement between you and Multistream.id ("Multistream," "we"). By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms and the Acceptable Use Policy and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. Do not use the service if you disagree. If you act for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for it. Send legal questions to [email protected].
2. Service and beta status
Multistream provides a streaming relay, a dashboard to manage destinations and platform connections, read-only OBS chat, and an optional stream control panel for accounts with separate permission. Features may be in beta and may change, be limited, or be discontinued. We may adjust capacity, supported platforms, usage limits, pricing, or features with reasonable notice where possible. Terms requiring renewed consent will be presented before access continues.
3. Accounts, configuration, and security
Provide accurate registration information and protect access to your email, login sessions, platform credentials, and stream keys. You are responsible for activity through your account and must promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. If a credential is exposed, revoke or rotate it with its original platform as soon as possible. Destination credentials and OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest, but service components still need to use them to perform requested features. Encryption does not guarantee credentials can never be accessed or that the service is risk-free.
4. OBS chat dock and platform permissions
The chat dock requires dashboard pairing and creates a dedicated session to read chat from platforms you connect. A pairing code is single-use and valid for up to 10 minutes; the dock session uses an HttpOnly cookie, and its server-side session permissions are limited to OBS features. The session lasts up to 30 days unless revoked earlier. Platform tokens and stream keys are not provided to the OBS page. The chat pane is read-only: it displays messages through SSE and does not send messages or change moderation. If you separately grant stream-control permission to a provider, the optional panel may request a title or category change you choose. A chat-only pairing has the chat:read scope without stream:manageand cannot use those controls. Chat does not replace RTMP destinations or stream settings in the dashboard.
A YouTube chat connection requests the read-only youtube.readonly scope. Optional YouTube stream control requires separate OAuth consent and requests youtube.force-ssl, which Google's description says can view, edit, and permanently delete YouTube videos, ratings, comments, and captions. With that permission, Multistream reads relevant live stream metadata and only updates a title or category you request; we do not call the API to delete videos, ratings, comments, or captions. Twitch chat requests chat:read; Twitch stream control separately requests channel:manage:broadcast. API calls respect Google's quota limits. You authorize the actions described on the consent screen and in the features you select. You may remove a local connection, but must also revoke the provider grant in Google Account or Twitch settings to end it there. Use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy, Google API Services User Data Policy, and YouTube Terms of Service.
5. Content and limited license
You retain rights to content you stream or send. You grant Multistream a limited, non-exclusive license, only for as long as needed, to receive, process, relay, display chat, secure, and provide the features you request. This does not transfer ownership. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed for the materials, music, images, personal data, and platform accounts you use, and are responsible for obtaining legally required consent.
6. Third-party platforms and quotas
YouTube/Google, Twitch, OBS, relay, hosting, email, and network providers operate independently. Multistream is not affiliated with them. Their availability, content policies, access rights, API quotas, moderation decisions, and platform changes are controlled by their respective providers. We do not guarantee a platform will accept a change, maintain a connection, or always provide an API. You must follow platform terms and limits and must not evade quotas, technical limits, or access controls.
7. Fees, availability, and risks
Current plans, quotas, and prices are shown on the website or dashboard. Unless stated otherwise before a purchase, prices and limits may change with notice. The service is provided as available; we do not guarantee continuous availability, no errors, complete security, or compatibility with every device and platform. Network, relay, configuration, provider, or external events may delay or stop a broadcast. The relay forwards video/audio and the control plane does not store broadcast recordings as a current feature. Do not rely on Multistream as your only archive or emergency route.
8. Prohibited use
You must follow the law, third-party rights, these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, and platform rules. You may not access accounts without permission, impersonate or defraud, send spam/malware/threats, infringe copyright or privacy, disrupt systems, bypass quotas or account limits, misuse dock pairing, try to obtain another person's tokens or stream keys, use stream controls without the required provider authorization and account owner's consent, or evade platform moderation or policies.
The referral and affiliate program has additional terms on its program page. You must use links for honest promotion, disclose that a link is a referral, and must not create accounts, payments, or artificial traffic to obtain credits or commissions. We may hold, void, or reverse rewards and suspend a link when we detect self-referrals, duplicate household or payment activity, abuse, or a violation of approved materials. Referral rewards provide service access, not cash; creator commissions are recorded in a manual ledger and paid according to the program status shown in the dashboard.
9. Deletion, suspension, and termination
You may stop using the service at any time and request account deletion under our data deletion instructions. We may limit, suspend, or terminate access as needed to address a violation, security risk, disruption, abuse, legal obligation, or platform request. Where possible, we will provide a reason and a way to contact us. Pairing codes expire after 10 minutes, OBS sessions last up to 30 days unless revoked. The in-memory replay queue holds up to 5,000 events until displaced or process shutdown; with Redis, replay excludes events older than one hour and its list expires one hour after the latest event. There is no fixed deletion deadline for all data, logs, and backups.
10. Liability and general terms
To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for loss of profits, audience, reputation, or data, or indirect or consequential loss arising from an interruption or use of the service. Our aggregate liability for service-related claims is limited to IDR 1,000,000, to the extent that limit is lawful. These terms do not remove mandatory consumer rights or liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law. If one term cannot be enforced, the remaining terms continue to apply to the extent permitted. These terms do not intend to exclude mandatory legal protections that apply to you.
11. Changes
The effective date and version appear above. We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. For material changes requiring renewed consent, we will request consent before dashboard access continues.
